Ari S. Casper focuses his litigation practice in three primary areas. He represents corporate and individual clients in large complex commercial litigation matters. In this area, Mr. Casper has recovered millions of dollars for clients in courts across the United States.
Mr. Casper is a former federal prosecutor, during which time he focused on investigating and trying cases involving public corruption and white collar fraud. Mr. Casper now represents corporate officers and other individuals in grand jury proceedings and SEC investigations. He also represents Department of Justice attorneys in investigations conducted by the Office of Professional Responsibility, and practicing attorneys in proceedings before bar counsel.
Mr. Casper handles serious personal injury cases in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and in Federal Tort Claims matters involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, and pharmaceutical liability.
Mr. Casper has been invited to be a guest lecturer in litigation practice courses and has served as trial consultant for Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining Stein, Mitchell and Mezines as a partner, he practiced in the litigation group at Hogan & Hartson LLP in Baltimore, where he represented pharmaceutical companies in government investigations, and professional sports organizations and corporate clients in complex civil litigation matters. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Alan M. Wilner on Maryland’s highest appellate court, intern to the Honorable Andre M. David on the United States District Court, and graduated first in his law school class.
Mr. Casper is admitted to practice in Maryland State and Federal courts, the District of Columbia, and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Association of Trial Lawyers.
